Similarity Report Update

Dear Users,

We have introduced changes to the appearance and functionality of the similarity report. The goal of this update is to make working with the report easier and to improve its readability. Below, we present the implemented changes:

Source Numbering

We have assigned sequential numbers to the identified sources according to the order of the databases. An organized list of sources supports the report assessment process and the creation of notes for internal procedures.

Improved Intuitiveness

The navigation for additional options has been moved to the left side of the screen, making it easier to work with the report. This improves readability and transparency, enhances the visibility of analysis results, and allows for a smoother workflow when working with the report.

Each source identified during the plagiarism analysis is assigned a number according to the order of the databases. When hovering over a specific fragment in the analyzed text, the corresponding source number will be highlighted, making it easier to locate it on the list. The numbering is also displayed in the PDF printout.

Adding Comments

Allows adding personal notes to the text in the report, which facilitates providing feedback to the author or sharing observations with other reviewers to support the assessment process.

Highlighting Sources

Click “Toggle sources highlighting” to turn source highlighting on or off in the text. This is useful when working with comments.

You can also switch comment highlighting on or off if you want to focus only on the text and sources by clicking on the “Feedback” button.

You can highlight text with a color from the comment palette. You can also format text — for example, strike it through or make it bold.

Sharing the Report

Allows you to grant access to the report to another person, including someone who does not have an account in the system — for example, an editor or the author.

Saving as PDF

Allows you to save the plagiarism analysis report in PDF format for documentation purposes, sharing with others, or printing.

Excluding quotes

To remove quotes or quoted text found in all sources available to the system from the value of similarity coefficients, click on the Exclude Quotes (checkmark) button in the menu.

After clicking on the icon, the values of the Similarity Coefficients will be recalculated. If you click on the icon again, the similarity coefficients will return to their original value.

Changes made are saved after the document is accepted or added to the database.
